1. Dinner Party Spotlight: Inspired By This

Isn’t this party just dreamy?! Today’s FH Dinner Party Series guests and the creators of this stunning display are the women behind Lifestyle Blog Inspired By This. A blog that is inspired by beautiful weddings, aspiring entrepreneurs, exquisite homes, working moms, and more, the founder Leila Lewis and Associate Editor Ally Streelman desire to bring that inspiration to you through their site! From the things they shop, to the cocktails they create, to the babies they are bringing up, Inspired By This is a lifestyle site dedicated to delivering beautiful content to readers at every stage of life.

Today’s incredible party, a work event with a Wedding PR Firm for 75 people, shows their keen attention for details, their love of color, and of course – over the top blooms! I am excited to share a bit more about what these ladies are like at home with a Q&A, and also to share an amazing “shop the post” at the bottom of the post, so you can re-create this party at home!

FH: What is your entertaining style? Traditional, Contemporary, Seasonal?

Inspired by This: Seasonal! I love creating a menu using in-season fruits and vegetables, and the traditional flavors and spices of the season. I also like when the decor matched the weather – warm and cozy in fall and winter, and light and colorful in spring and summer!

FH: How often do you entertain and for how many guests?

Inspired by This: This was a work event with a Wedding PR Firm for 75 people but typically I host 8-10 guests at a time in my own home.

FH: Do you have a go-to recipe or dish {or do you avoid cooking at all costs}?

Inspired by This: I love creating charcuterie boards with a variety of cheese, meats, fruits, nuts and accoutrements.

FH: Do you have a go-to cocktail?

Inspired by This: Yes! A jalapeño cucumber margarita!

FH: Did something inspire you for today’s table? A certain color, flower, plate?

Inspired by This: We wanted to create a super fab boho look for this dinner. With a stunning blank canvas like HNYPT, we also wanted to bring the space to life with gorgeous florals and color! So, we went with a 70s boho, “flower power” theme and a feminine and bright color scheme. I think it’s the perfect combo! The pastel, rose gold, and pops of citrus came together beautifully.

  2. Juliska Al Fresco Collection & Summer Time Recipes

Summer is finally here which means it’s time for outdoor entertaining! Our family loves eating out by the pool so I was so excited that Juliska’s Al Fresco Dinnerware Collection is equally as elegant as their classic dinnerware!! Juliska’s Berry & Thread pieces have always been my go-to, so I opted for their gorgeous Berry & Thread Melamine Dinner Plates and to add a pop of color I placed their Oceanica Melamine Salad Plates on top! For glassware I stayed with the Berry & Thread theme {these glasses are my favorite of the collection!!} and I chose the Isabella Acrylic Goblet and Tumbler. Once…

  3. Coastal Vibes

I recently featured how I updated my family room for Summer {see the post here}, so today I wanted to share some pieces that work into the “coastal” trend that I am channeling this time of year! Think beach house with lots of indigo accents and light-weight fabrics! Shop some of my favorites below.

  4. Celebrating National Brunch Day with Draper James

When Draper James asked how I planned to celebrate “National Brunch Day” I responded, “with a quick and easy Summer kick-off celebration for my closest girlfriends before we head off to summer vacation!” So today I wanted to share the get-together I threw at my mom’s home {at the sweetest vintage table!}. Also, be sure to head over to the Draper James “Love Reese” Blog to read an interview that accompanies my table, plus the delicious recipe I used for these coconut bundt cakes! So what did I create for the occasion? I wanted something quaint, light, and pretty, so I started with…

  5. Host Fourth of July with the Ultimate Red, White, & Blue Table

Fourth of July wouldn’t feel Patriotic without stars, stripes, and endless red, white, and blue. So this year I was sure to include everything on my checklist! I was so excited to partner with Pottery Barn for this project because they truly have the best selection for the Holiday, from galvanized pieces, to festive napkins, to American Flag pillows. I am obsessed with how my table is over-flowing with color! Here’s a closer look at what I created for the perfect FH Fourth of July poolside celebration! I started by placing a Pottery Barn Burlap Flag Banner down the center of my table in lieu of a runner,…
