One of my favorite Valentine’s Day traditions is breakfast in bed with my husband, so today I wanted to share a sneak peek of what we will be cooking up for the occasion. First things first, I bought a heart shaped waffle maker {here} to make the cutest and most festive Valentine’s Day breakfast in bed. Mouth watering waffles, check! Next I prepared each of us a tray, his complete with syrup, whipped cream and blueberry toppings, while for mine I chose syrup, whipped cream, and strawberries {perfectly his and hers!}. I laid my gold trim Kim Seybert napkins matched back to my gold flatware, which I tied together with XOXO hangtags {a sweet touch that I also used here}. I then poured each of us a glass of water in my favorite water glasses and topped them off with leftover red and white straws from this post. Lastly I sprinkled {well, actually my daughter sprinkled} pink chocolate heart candies around the trays and duvet.

Now if you are really looking to keep the morning love alive {sometimes a bit tricky once you have kids}, add mimosas into the drink mix. I just brought everything over to my bedside table for mixing. The ingredients: Veuve Clicquot champagne plus fresh orange juice served in Juliska Amalia flutes. To make the display picture perfect, I placed a pretty arrangement of ranunculus in a Robert Siegel Studio flower vase alongside the glasses.

A few sweet gifts for him {see ideas here} and her {a Diptyque candle to add to my never ending collection}, and we are adequately spoiled! I hope this inspires you to get lavishly cozy with your loved one on Valentine’s Day!

  3. DIY Valentine’s Day Gifts

    DIY Homemade Valentine's Day gifts

I love to get each of my girlfriends a little gift on Valentine’s Day, so this year I decided to be a bit crafty and do something DIY! I started thinking what do girls want on Valentine’s Day… chocolate, obviously! So I found the cutest cellophane gift bags and got to work. While these are incredibly easy to assemble, it’s amazing how putting a little effort into your gift is so much more meaningful than a store-bought box of chocolates! So whether you are brainstorming a fun idea to bring people at the office, need to bring your V-day party hostess a…

  4. The Best Wedding Gifts

    best table wedding gifts trays

So your friends are getting married and you want to get them a nice gift that you know they will actually use. Where does your mind go? Directly to the bar {don’t worry, I won’t judge!}. So what’s a classy thing to get them that they will really love and keep forever? My two go-to wedding gifts are: One, a fancy tray {Love that it has multiple uses including home décor, cheese board, or serving drinks like above} or two, an elegant ice bucket. Surprisingly the options for these items are endless, both in stores that carry them and in style. So, I decided…

  5. Merchandising your Baby Girl’s Nursery Shelves

Baby Girl Nursery Decor Inspiration by Fashionable Hostess

Today I am excited to share a peek inside my little angel’s nursery. Since Reese is the princess of the household, I wanted her room to reflect it. While baby’s rooms can quickly become filled with clutter and excessive amount of toys, I avoided that by placing a neatly organized {and incredibly girly} display shelf directly across from the entry to her room so guests would immediately swoon upon entering. Read on to learn what my favorite pieces were in assembling the look! To start I chose a Pottery Barn Kids three tiered bookshelf {buy the bookshelf here for $299 plus free shipping!} and…
