1. 13 Month Toddler: Spring Layers

    Baby Sparkly Toms, Baby Old Navy

    I am all about the layering trend … I usually pick out my vest or cropped jacket before I even pick out my shirt! So come Spring since I can’t fathom parting with the trend, I just find layers that won’t weigh me down – the perfect solution being a denim vest. {See last Spring how I rocked a denim vest over a Spring Outfit in my Colorblock Style Post; shop this similar light denim vest for only $32.94.}

    Baby Reese being the Fashionista that she is, is also a lover of vests {see how she wore her Patagonia one this Fall in this Baby Trend Post}. So when she saw Mamma playing around with the trend, she whined that she needed one as well to compliment her adorable Old Navy Eyelet-Sleeve Terry Tunic and Sparkly Baby TOMs. I found an AMAZING white denim vest for her at Old Navy {originally $19.94, now only $15.00!!) – see link for the Old Navy White Denim Baby Vest here. {Just a heads up, I had to go a size bigger – she needed an 18 month size while she is usually 12 month!}.

    I mean don’t you just die for this?! Spring time festivities, here we come!

  2. Host a Spring Party

    Trending this Spring are beautiful pastels and gold accents, and I don’t just mean when it comes to your wardrobe. So today I decided to incorporate pretty shades of blue from the placemats to the bowls for a light and airy look. Then for flowers I arranged small vases {which I got at Corzine & Co in Nashville} filled with delicate white daisies to complete the look. To give my tables a little character I also like to rummage my home for little decorative accent pieces to intersperse amongst my centerpieces. Since today I was using golds, I decided on my Michael Aram Banana…

  3. Organize your Makeup

    When I moved into my new apartment I faced a battle that I think most women face in any new home… lack of storage space. I mean seriously, were these bathrooms designed by men? One medicine cabinet for a couple?? I can fill a medicine cabinet with hair products alone… and then my husband needs a few shelves? Oh brother! In my last apartment {see here} I hung {wide} mounted glasses shelves  for extra storage space for my makeup and products, but in my new apartment {pictured in this post}, I needed something much more narrow and sleek to go with…

  5. Glassware Checklist: Wedding Registry

    I have a huge glassware collection {as you saw in this post}, but the truth is if you want to be a “proper” hostess, you need different glasses for different types of drinks. Yes, having one standard set of wine glasses is fine, but for an elegant seated dinner party, it’s nice to have a white wine glass as well as a red wine glass. I also like to start most of my parties serving a tray of champagne, so that adds a set of champagne flutes to the list. And then don’t think those mis-matched glasses in your cupboard…
