1. FH Baby Sprinkle Party

When you become pregnant with your first, friends throw you a baby shower. Then your second and third come along, and while you have the essentials, your friends may still want to throw you a little celebration. Hence the term Baby Sprinkle came to life… a gathering of your friends and family to celebrate the newest addition to your family.

With Baby Number 3 on the way and being incredibly busy with work, the kids, you name it, I wasn’t so keen on having a party. But my friends convinced me that it would be the perfect time and occasion to celebrate… summer has come to a close, the kids are back in school, so what better way to spend the morning than getting all dolled up, indulging in sweet treats, and catching up on our summers. So quickly the plans for my Baby Sprinkle came to life!

The planning began with the invitations. I chose this Minted Invitation and fell so in love with the Hot Air Balloons that they quickly became the decor inspiration for the party.

We began searching online for Hot Air Balloon decorations… first we found these DIY Hot Air Balloons {MamamaOnline} on Etsy, then we found a local Miami dessert shop, Amazingly Delicious, that could make Hot Air Balloon Cake Pops and Cookies, and then on one of my favorite party prop websites, Beau-Coup, we found we could custom create Hot Air Balloon Cookies that said the party hashtag #FHBabySprinkle, as well as matching straws and candy jars! I wanted my dear friend Christy of Crowns by Christy todo a flower crown table for the party, but she had the amazing idea to take Under the Paper Lanterns and custom create Hot Air Balloon Flower arrangements for centerpieces. I couldn’t have been more excited with all these beautiful decorations!

On the invitation we asked that everyone come in white, which couldn’t have been prettier for the photos. So angelic!! This was the first time I have asked guests to come in a specific color for a party and I have to say the response was amazing, the girls loved it!!

When the girls entered the party they were greeted by Christy of Crowns by Christy with a Flower crown table. She took white babys breath crowns and tied them with blue or pink ribbons. If your guess for the baby was boy, you received a crown with blue ribbon, or if your guess was a girl, you received one with a pink ribbon. I still can’t decide what I think it will be, but a lot of the guests chose girl… ahhh!!!

Next the ladies headed into the family room. At the bar we served Le Grand Courtage Rosé Brut and Blanc Brut as well as Spindrift Sparkling Waters {Spindrift even sent over its newest flavors, Strawberry and Mango, to enjoy!}. In the kitchen was a beautiful brunch display by Cuisine and Events. The menu included a large Bagel Bar, Yogurt Parfaits topped with granola and berries, Mini pancake stacks, Green and Mango Juices, and Mini Egg and Spinach Frittatas.

The dessert table was over-the-top! Custom Hot Air Balloon cake pops and cookies from Amazingly Delicious, Custom candy jars of pastel Jordan Almonds from Beau-Coup, cupcakes from Buttercream Cupcakes in South Miami, Sugarfina candy boxes, and Ladurée Macaron Towers; it was a pregnant girl’s dream come true!

Back to the decor… we decided to set tables for brunch in the dining room as well as in the playroom. In the dining room PJB Creations created the most beautiful pastel balloon garland over the mirror. On my buffet table we placed two Laduree towers {one pink and one blue!} and a diaper cake by Baby Blossom Co. Then in the playroom we hung “B-A-B-Y” Balloons from Party City as the back drop and on the bookshelves we created a beautiful display of pastel toys and the newest Spindrift flavors that guests would be enjoying.

I wanted the tables to match so the party would feel cohesive, although in separate rooms! We set the tables with Mode Living tablecloths, used my Oliver & Olivia gold-rimmed plates, my new Birch Lane vintage glasses, and a combination of MamamaOnline hot air balloons, hot air balloons flower arrangements, and flowers as centerpieces. At each setting we placed a box of Sugarfina candy.

It was such a fabulous time. We ate and drank and caught up on all of our summer plans. We reminisced over stories of our first and second babies… the births, the good times, the hard times. The guest list was all moms with children my kids ages, so we are truly “in the thick of it together!”.

While I have been so busy with the millions of things going on in my life, I have really thought about my third pregnancy as an experience of surviving being pregnant while somehow keeping my life in check, and had less time to think about the end product, which is that there is a little baby inside of me that will soon be here to join our family. The party got me really excited to see what the sex will be and got me thinking more about how my family is growing – a lot of emotion for someone 37 weeks pregnant! When the party came to a close, I thought to myself, the nursery is done, the party was incredible, but I am officially ready for this baby, and what an amazing support group I have to welcome it!!

The guests headed out with these adorable gift bags and more custom goodies! See below for a list of all the fabulous brands I partnered with to bring this event to life.

  2. Host a Kids Halloween Party

This is our first Halloween in our new house so we couldn’t wait to get together with friends for a night of costumes and games. As I shared in a previous post, I hate that Halloween has turned into a total sugar-fest {especially with my kids being so young!}, so for this Halloween Party, I thought of some fun and festive activities for the kids to show them another side of Halloween. Who needs to overload on candy when there’s so much deliciousness with these adorable faces!! Decor: The party began long before actual guests arrived and it was a total group effort. I bought 30 mini…

  3. Thanksgiving Kids Table with Skip Hop

I have shared so many beautiful ideas for my Thanksgiving table over the last few weeks, but I left out the most fun table of all… my kids table!! Anytime we have a family dinner party, we always set up a little table alongside the adults for the little ones to dine at. While I prep my table, my kids work alongside me decorating their own; they can’t wait to choose their plates, silverware, and even demand flowers! So I was so excited to partner with Skip Hop, my go-to for kids plates, cups and silverware, to create their Holiday table, especially with…

  4. Reese’s 4th Princess Party

For Reese’s fourth birthday I wanted to throw a beautiful princess party in our backyard. I set the stage by hanging lanterns by Under the Paper Lantern in the trees, creating a princess face painting station, and setting up the most gorgeous dessert buffet. The paperless post invitation asked all the little girls to dress as princesses, and it couldn’t have been cuter! I am so excited to share how I brought this party to life {and all the fun party details!} As guests entered the party they were greeted by a “Princess Prepping Station”. Princess Belle stood in front of a table…

  5. Dessert Table for Baby’s 1st Birthday

Recently a girlfriend of mine came to me and asked for helping planning her son’s first birthday party. I have always admired the long dessert buffet tables I have seen on Pinterest, so when I brought up the concept to her, she couldn’t wait to get started on the idea. We decided the easiest way to go about planning would be to find a package of party supplies rather than a few things here and there. We fell in love with this adorable “Let’s get this Party Started” set on Minted {the beloved stationary website!} which had everything from banners, centerpieces, table signs and more. Then…
