1. 6 Month Baby: Striped Tank

    Family Stripes

This past week I had a meeting at the Host Committee office to discuss the final details of my upcoming “Most Fashionable Hostess” Host Committee Party Thursday, August 1st {tickets are still on sale HERE}. In the summer-time I love wearing dresses to meetings because you can throw them on in a second and VOILA you are dressed and ready to hit the road (which is especially helpful when you have a little one to dress as well). I am still obsessing over the “stripe” trend {see other stripe posts here and here}, so I went with this fun and flirty Parker Lolly dress. While the last time I wore it was out on a date, I made it day-time appropriate by wearing it with minimal heeled sandals and simple accessories like the Leighelena cuff {that I also wore here}. The FHB saw my stripes and decided she wanted in on the trend as well. Little did she {or I} realize that she was going to be photographed… so it was pretty perfect that we were matching. Thankfully Host Committee had tons of fun sunglasses, light sticks, and beach balls {all props that they provide for their pool parties!} available to distract the FHB while our meeting went on. I must say even though she required a tad bit more attention than I hoped she would need during a busy meeting, she did do a pretty darn good job modeling those stripes and props, once again stealing the photographers heart as well as many members of the Host Committee staff.

  2. Summer Color

How happy is summer time? The warm sun… outdoor brunch… bright bouquets… neon table accents… ripe produce… everything just seems cheery. Today’s post is a collage of things I have come across this summer that make me smile. I hope they do the same for you. Happy Monday.

  3. Colorblock Style

There are so many things that I love about today’s outfit. The Annie Griffin Kaki Skirt {*check below for a special FH discount!) is totally a work to play piece… long enough to wear to a conservative office, but turned fun by pairing with the right accessories. And as for the pop red Leighelena Stingray Bracelet… it’s one of my summer obsessions! To pull the look together, I went with a simple white fitted James Perse tank tucked, and a washed out denim Levi’s Denim Vest. Washed out denim is actually going to be a staple this Fall so it’s not too late in the summer…

  4. 3WCircle Networking Event

A few weeks ago I had the honor of being the spotlight speaker for 3WCircle a women’s group based in NYC. When asked if I could speak to these women, I thought that ‘actions speak louder than words’ so what better way to demonstrate what I do than actually host the event. The CEO and Founder of 3WCircle, Caroline Scheinfeld, asked to write a recap of the special evening, so here it is: “Who says networking has to include name tags, stuffy environments and unsatisfying passed around appetizers? Last month, 3WCircle and the FH pioneered a concept of the anti-networking networking dinner party. 3WCircle…

  5. Summer Lunch

Since the FHB has an early bedtime, I love having people over for lunch on the weekends rather than for dinner. Two of my favorite things to make {which are crowd pleasers for guests of all ages} are a long turkey baguette sandwich and Caprese Salad {which is tomato mozzarella}. They are incredibly easy and the presentation is just fancy enough to make lunch feel unique. The perfect finishing touch are home-made menu cards so guests know exactly what they are digging into {check out when I served them at my Moms Who Lunch Event}!  Here is what you need…
