Ideas for Hosting the Prettiest Bridal Shower

Welcome to Bridal Shower Week on Fashionable Hostess. With Wedding Season at a high, I wanted to dedicate this week to some fun wedding event prep, focusing on everything you need to prep for the Bridal Shower. Whether Mother of the Bride, Maid of Honor, Bridesmaid, or dear friend, I hope these fun ideas inspire you to make the Bridal Shower day just a bit more special!!

Starting with this black and white tablescape {see the full post here}, there are so many fab take-away’s for a Bridal Shower! What I love about this… 1. A black and white stripe table runner is so unique and ironically totally goes with pops of pink! I used this runner, and for pops of pink chose pink and white striped straws, pink bowls {similar}, pink napkins, and of course lush arrangements of pink flowers. 2. I sprinkled a hint of confetti throughout my runner and placed additional confetti “push-pops” from Thimblepress throughout; they are so cute for photos!!

Next we have an adorable champagne “Welcome Table” display {see the full display here}.  I envision this console table right in the entry of your Bridal Shower with pre-poured glasses of champagne for people to take as they enter the party. What I love about this… 1. The “cheers” champagne flutes {or equally as cute are these!} and 2. The details… a canister of gold and white striped straws, pink rock candy, endless flowers. Even if you don’t need straws for the drinks, it’s these pretty details that make the space!

Don’t have a spare console? A beautiful bar cart in your entry is also a gorgeous welcome. I always use the top tier for pre-poured drinks; here I made Bellinis with Cipriani mix {which are always a huge hit!! Shop them here.} Then I use the second shelf for decor, like this adorable scripted “Mr. and Mrs.” cake topper – which isn’t just for cakes! I placed mine inside a flower arrangement!

When it comes to setting your table, make it elegant and romantic. You must check out the full post for these photos here; it’s probably one of the prettiest Fashionable Hostess displays I have ever created. Ironically it’s so simple {I even made the flower arrangements!}, but it’s perfect.

What I love about this… 1. The golds! The gold flatware, gold-rimmed plates, and gold-rimmed glasses are so elegant. 2. The faux hydrangea napkin rings! These were such a fab find and I use them all Spring and summer! 3. The “Advice for the Bride and Groom” cards! It’s such a fun idea to have everyone go around and read their advice during the lunch, plus, the bride can take them home as a keepsake! {I also found these printable cards online which are so cute!}

And while a simple table is beautiful, a slightly more elaborate table is equally as fab. In my next tablescape {see the full post here}, 1. I had floral arrangements created by a florist – and let’s be serious… they are show stoppers!! 2. I topped each place setting with a mini champagne {I LOVE the Le grand Courtage minis because they come in this pretty white bottle!}. And 3. At each seat, I placed a small box of Laduree treats {although a macaron trinket box would be equally as cute!}.

Then a stunning dessert display is a must!! I am just in love with this Mr. & Mrs. Banner from BHLDN {only $10!} which I hung across my dining room mirror. Then for desserts, I served macarons, cake, and endless bubbly. Hostess Tip: Be sure to display bottles of your fanciest Champagnes on the buffet like I did below!

Or go all out with a pink and white Candy Bar!! From gum balls, to pink m&m’s, to lollipops, to spiked pink lemonade in a pretty white drink dispenser, it’s such a treat to end the meal! Place your candy in varying sized glass jars and serve alongside small bowls or cellophane to-go bags! {I highly recommend heading to Party City for the candy where you can shop candy by color!}.

A bit overwhelmed by the price tag of your Bridal Shower… the dessert, the centerpieces, the decor can add up quick! Have no fear! Assign each guest a “pretty” dessert to bring – I recommend sticking to all vanilla with pops of soft pink {maybe even send photo suggestions!} and ask them to bring their dessert on a white, pink, or clear cake stand! {These ivory retro stands range from $9-19!!}. Display the various desserts down the center of your tables as your “sweet centerpieces!” Now you’ve killed two birds with one stone!!

Stay tuned as I share more Bridal Shower inspiration this week, including a new tablescape I created especially for the occasion! And for the time being, don’t forget to check out my Wedding section!
