Apples & Honey Cheese Board

for Rosh Hashanah

Bring in a sweet new year

This will be the second year that I am hosting Rosh Hashanah dinner for our family, and since the Jewish New Year is around the corner, I have been brainstorming my menu and decor in anticipation. When I started thinking about appetizers I thought since my Cheese boards have become so popular, maybe I could put a little spin on one and make an “Apples & Honey” Cheese Board for the occasion. After playing around, the board came out so pretty (and was so stinking simple!!) that I couldn’t wait to share with you guys!!

What you need:

  • Beautiful Marble Tray
  • 2 Cheeses (A Triangle Brie which looks prettiest drizzled with honey + White Cheddar both sliced and cubed)
  • 3 Red apples Apples ( 1 Whole for display and 2 sliced apples for dipping)
  • Pomegranate Seeds (Pretty in color and significant on the holiday!! Pomegranates supposedly contain 613 seeds. Thus, Jews display their desire to fulfill God’s 613 mitzvoth by eating the pomegranate.)
  • Raspberries (for garnish and color!)
  • Honey Dipper Stick (My favorite accessory of the display!)
  • Small bowl for Honey
  • Eucalyptus for decor
