Festive Ideas for your 4th of July Menu

It’s almost 4th of July, so today I wanted to help inspire your Menu with some festive and delicious ideas…

#1 Tomato, Mozzarella, and Mint Stacks

Skip the classic salad and serve up this delicious Tomato Mozzarella Salad. Use a deep dish. Slice. Display. Drizzle with balsamic vinaigrette or olive oil and finish off with a sprinkle of Sea Salt or Black Pepper. Oh, and you did not read incorrectly, I swapped the usual basil for mint and it’s so delicious and refreshing! I highly recommend doing the swap!

# 2 A Patriotic Cheese Platter

The classic cheese platter with a few red, white, and blue additions. Rather than the standard green rosemary or thyme garnishes, choose strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries. The cutest addition of all though are these tiny American Flag toothpicks I found on Amazon (here). As you can see, I used them all over my table and they look too cute!!

# 3 Kebabs

I know we usually think of hot dog and hamburgers and steaks when it comes to grilling, but a super easy and super classy swap is veggie or meat kebabs. You can buy them pre-made at pretty much any grocery, or make your own with a few colored peppers, onions, meats, and mushrooms. I am obsessed with the Villeroy & Boch BBQ Passion Kebab Platter for making a really pretty and mess-free display.

# 4 Star Sweets

Get out those star cookie cutters! It’s time to make star shaped sugar cookies or cookie sandwiches (here’s a super cute jam-filled cookie recipe!). And again my American Flag toothpicks make a debut; they really look great just about anywhere on the table!

# 5 And all the Red, white, and blue!

White platters, blue water glasses, strawberry infused water, stick to these three colors when it comes to platters, pillows and decor! Shop some of my favorites at the bottom of this post! Looking forward to the 4th!!

If you haven’t checked out my 4th of July section, I highly recommend you spending a few minutes browsing!
