Beyond Mom Networking Event

WOVEN SILVER BENCH, Shop HDB

On Wednesday, March 19th I partnered up with Randi Zinn of Beyond Mom to co-host the “#FHBeyondMom Event” a Private Cocktail Party featuring speakers Kaity Velez and Jessica Pallay, the founders of NYC’s Top Pregnancy Resource Website, Well Rounded NY. These dynamic “mom-preneurs” shared their journey from Magazine Editors to founders of this highly recognized online community (Featured by Daily CandyBig City MomsStroller Traffic), while attendees included a coveted list of Editors, Bloggers, CEO’s of Clothing Brands, and more. Held at the newly debuted Chateau FH, guests mingled over their passion for their work {while maintaining a balance with motherhood}, all the while sipping Uproot wine, nibbling on a gorgeous spread created by yours truly {deets below}, and taking home incredible goodie bags. I am excited to add this fab event to my hostessing resume!

A little bit more about My Co-Hosts:

Randi Zinn is the founder of Beyond Mom and RandiZinn.com. Born from a vision and the need for community connectivity, Beyond Mom offers Mixers, Seminars and Retreats for New York Moms. A yogi and mom, Randi encourages moms to cultivate wellness and live life inspired.

Mom-preneurs Kaity Velez and Jessica Pallay conceived Well Rounded NY out of love and the need for a savvy pregnancy resource. These former magazine editors curate everything hip, stylish and city-friendly for expectant and new mamas. Whether you need suggestions for a great pair of maternity jeans, strategic direction for a chic nursery in your one bedroom apartment, or crave-worthy restaurant recommendations, Well Rounded NY will help you navigate, revel in and even celebrate pregnancy and parenting in the city.

So on to my forte, the spread…

Julia Knight Tray, Kim Seybert Capiz Placemate

I decided to remove the chairs from my dining table and create an easily accessible buffet overloaded with appetizers. I created an elegant table runner by laying 5 Kim Seybert Capiz Placemats across the center of the table and then layering silver platters and cheese boards on top. For appetizers I created two main cheese presentations. One included Simple & Crisp Dried Fruit chips (a healthy alternative to crackers) with Parmigiana and cranberry goat cheeses, red seedless grapes, dried apricots, and nuts. On the other platter, I served fresh mozzarella balls with toothpicks, green olives, and apple flavored Simple and Crisps. For mini menus, I took my Michael Aram Ocean Coral Mini Frames and framed print-outs beside each platter. I kept with the silver theme using my Michael Aram Molten Double Snack Bowl Set for the small items like dried fruits and nuts. For dessert, I really wanted a pop of color, so I couldn’t wait to introduce guests to one of my favorite desserts, mini rice crispie treat cakes by Treat House.

At the Bar I served a delicious selection of white wines, the option of Sauvignon Blanc or Grenache Blanc by Uproot Wine; or for the pregnant mammas, Pellegrino and water {which I served in a Kim Seybert Paillette Wine Decanter}. Lastly, I knew we would be sitting around the couch and coffee table for the main speech so I put out a few easy snacks like nuts and more dried fruit as well as a fan of MacKenzie-Childs Cocktail Napkins.

Then on to the lust-worthy giftbags…

Courtly Check

Worth close to $150 in value, lucky guests scored Michael Aram picture frames, Simple and Crisp samples, a Mustela travel set, MacKenzie-Childs Courtly Check cocktail napkins, Alba Botanica lip balm, FLOWER Beauty lipstick and nail polish, a free Soul Cycle class, a discount card for music with Jam with Jamie, and a set of Kim Seybert coasters.

Randi and I plan to co-host more events in the future, so stay tuned for more details!!
