Easter Donuts DIY

Let the Easter pastels begin! I wanted to kick off this year’s Easter prep with this pretty, easy, delicious, and fun DIY! It works as a festive and fabulous dessert on your buffet table, or can be the perfect kids activity todo after Easter lunch.

Here’s what you will need:

  • Glazed donuts {for home-made check out this recipe, or I simply bought Krispy Kreme! Shhh!}
  • Cotton candy {they sell it in a container in most groceries or on Amazon}
  • Edible grass {I got this on Amazon}
  • Chocolate eggs or Robin Eggs are what I used
  • Small cut-outs of little birds or bunnies {can be store bought or home-made}
  • Cake stand for displaying

What todo:

Place a Krispy Kreme Glazed Donut on a cake stand of your choice. Tear small pieces of cotton candy and gently press down to make flat, even pieces. Lay the cotton candy in the center of the donut making sure you cover the hole.

Spin a few short strands of the edible glass gently around three fingers to make a circle and lightly press the end result into the cotton candy to make sure that is stays.

Finally top with Mini Robin Eggs and small paper bunnies or chickens. Display!
