As you may have seen on my instagram, I am so excited to be partnering with Restoration Hardware Baby & Child to transform my little boy’s room from the sweetest nursery to a big boy toddler room. I realized that before I start to share the detailed process of working with their design team, I needed to actually share with you guys a closer look at his current room. I absolutely love this cozy space, as does Brooks. As I explained to the design team, it’s a place where we play quietly at the end of the day {the craziness after school takes place in our playroom}. And while we love this space so much, Brooks is ready to say goodbye to his crib and move onto a big boy bed.
So a little about this room… this room is the perfect nursery design with a place for all of our needs. A cozy rocking chair for bedtime stories, a three drawer dresser with a changing table on top, a leaning bookshelf with the bottom two shelves dedicated to Brooks’s favorite books. {He is a lover of Spot and Dr. Seuss’s ‘Are you my Mother’}, and then the center of the room has his Thomas Train Table, which I must say this occupies hours of play. We really did minimal art in the room which I semi regret, so that will be a new initiative in the update. Also while I love the Benjamin Moore Blue Lace color, we are going to update to a grey color from RH.
I created a little shop the nursery widget below for those of you looking to create a nursery that is similar. I just love the look of the white wood furniture popped against the blue!! So looking forward to sharing the re-design process with you!!
