When planning for my wedding, I browsed through Pinterest daily for details, floral arrangements, wedding cakes, chuppah inspiration, you name it! I was obsessed. I had a clear vision of what I wanted – An all-white wedding {my flower of choice was white orchids} and I wanted a chuppah that looked natural but elegant, almost something that grew out of nature.
Since I was having my wedding at the Mandarin Oriental Miami, I met with Miami-renowned wedding florist Karen from Always Flowers, who helped me dream up this gorgeous rendering. Rather than walls, branches stood as the sides of the chuppah, while above blossomed a full canopy of white orchids. Then within the chuppah right above our heads were dangling tea light candles and more loose orchids. It was truly magical. To line the wedding aisle, I wanted to match back to this orchid floral theme, so I did alternating white orchid floral arrangements and tall floating candle displays. For seating I chose silver Chiavari Chairs with white seat cushions. The icing on the cake was the overhead lighting which created this look of flowers and branches floating on the white wedding aisle.
I can feel my skin getting goose bumps as I remember walking down the aisle to Pachelbel’s Canon arm-in-arm with my dad {a classic go-to down the aisle song, but perfect for the most elegant of occasions}.
