Today I am excited to share a first look behind the scenes at the Bellini’s & Blooms Event I hosted with Christy of Crowns by Christy at my new house in Miami. I used to throw blogger parties all the time in my New York City apartment, so I thought a flower crown themed party with all sorts of delicious appetizers and cocktails would be a great way to introduce myself to the blogger community here in Miami. I asked Christy to co-host because she is the ultimate flower guru; from arrangements, to garlands, to her specialty, flower crowns, I knew she would be the perfect teacher for the blogger attendees.
Later this week on FH Christy will be sharing how she made the stunning flower garlands that she hung leading up to her flower table and I will be sharing more party pics, but today I wanted to focus on how I prepped the house for the event and what I served {hopefully serving as inspiration for one of your upcoming summer soirees!}.
So starting with my decor… the party took place in our family room, playroom {which we transitioned into the flower crown room}, dining room {where we displayed the food}, and outdoor patio. For the family room and patio Christy made some insanely gorgeous peony arrangements that matched back perfectly to the crowns, and then for my bookshelves she made some smaller and simpler arrangements that made for fab #shelfie shots! If you missed my recent post with my full patio tour, check it out here!
In my family room {across from the couch}, I used our bar as a DIY Bellini Station. I put out all essentials with framed labels so the ladies could easily help themselves; a selection of juices {orange, raspberry, peach, and mango!} in West Elm carafes, a beverage tub from Frontgate full of champagne on ice, rows of Juliska Amalia Flutes and Lenox champagne flutes, and then more delicate flower arrangements of roses and peonies! The gals loved mixing and matching their flavors!
For the food station in the dining room, Christy filled my Jonathan Adler vases {links here and here} with more lush arrangements and I placed my appetizers around them. I really tried to focus on healthy bites since it is summer in Miami, so I made various healthy recipes from my Pinterest Board. The menu included: watermelon gazpachos which I placed in individual cups for sipping, organic veggie cups with home-made spinach pesto dip, truffled risotto and mushroom cups, and shrimp cocktail!
The party was such a hit {see for yourself on social media with #BellinisandBlooms}! Be sure to check in daily for more pics from the event!!
