This summer we love to spend our Sunday nights grilling and eating out on our patio. Our dinner go-to is an assortment of chicken and steak kabobs, so I had been on the the hunt for new grilling pieces so our dinners would be FH worthy. Perfectly enough Villeroy & Boch introduced me to their BBQ collection, which includes elegant skewers, kabob plates, and more, so I couldn’t wait to turn up the heat at my next gathering {literally!}. Today I am excited to share all of my finds with a look at our latest feast, a swoon worthy occasion! I recommend you light up the grill in preparation!

For tonight’s table I kept it simple. At each place setting I laid a Kim Seybert bamboo placemat, then a Villeroy & Boch blue charger, then a folded Sferra linen napkin, and a classic white dinner plate on top. Paired with V&B’s Classica silverware and their blue boston ‘double old fashioned’ glasses which I actually like for water, it feels almost nautical with the array of blue and whites! Then for the center of the table I alternated V&B blue and white square vases with a mix of ‘organic’ arrangements created by the floral team at Kitanim; a beautiful assortment of hydrangeas, queen anne’s lace, veronicas, and viburnum berries.

Alongside my table I made a buffet of my favorite summer dinner items. Kabobs of chicken, onions, and peppers {I am in love with the V&B silver kabob skewers – I actually hadn’t seen really fancy skewers prior to these, and I love how long they are, making them extra safe for grilling!}. I placed them on my kabob platter that has little slots for each kabob. Next I made a light salad with arugula, mandarins, and strawberries, a dish of baked beans, and platter of blue corn chips and fresh salsa. I put my desserts and drinks on a separate bar cart filled with mini key lime pies and sliced watermelon and strawberries. Casual but so delicious, I couldn’t envision a better way to spend a summer night! 2. Bridal Shower Dessert Bar

I was so excited to be featured in Martha Stewart Weddings this weekend where I shared eight tips to creating a beautiful bridal shower dessert bar. From the flowers, to the menu, to the personalized décor, I shared my go-to Esty shops for customized straws to the cutest celebratory cake toppers {see the post here}. Today I wanted to share more photos from the shoot with a closer look at the dessert table {ie. some never before seen footage!}… here are the details. I started by accessorizing my table, stacking a pile of pastel coffee table books, sprinkling in candles, and placing geometric jars that I…

  3. Neutral Loves

June marks the start of summer in my books and with that comes an array of neutral essentials so I am ready to party all summer long. Frayed white denim, delicate gold bangles, and clean scents are on my must-have list. I love J Brand’s cropped white denim, Gorjana and Shashi make the sweetest bracelets which I love to layer, while Jo Malone Peony & Blush Suede is my new go-to scent {I even spritz it around the house!}. While I am not really a watch person, I love the brown leather band on this Daniel Wellington watch {and am wearing it more so…

  4. Tea Time & Summer Meetings with H&M Home

I have been so busy the last few weeks working on new partnerships and planning events, which has meant tons of meetings. So while many people prefer to have their back and forths via email or over the phone, I always prefer to have mine in person, and whenever possible, in my home. Why my house and not some trendy coffee shop? Because my house is a reflection of the Fashionable Hostess brand {so of course I throw a tour in the mix} but also because I take the opportunity to set up a cute spread for us to enjoy! Remember I…

  5. Weekend Todo List

It’s the weekend, so what’s on your todo list? Hopefully something that’s productive right? This summer, when I am actually home and not traveling I have been making an effort todo something out of the ordinary, change things up a bit! Hopefully something in today’s post will do the same for you! Cheers to the weekend! {Oh, and this amazing canvas clutch is from Parris Chic Boutique!} Number 1: Organize your kitchen! I had the pleasure of having The Home Edit organize my kitchen when I first moved into my house, but I have to say that at least once…
