1. Strawberry Rosé Margaritas for Cinco de Mayo

Strawberry Maragritas for Cinco de Mayo by Fashionable HostessMiami_2-86

Cinco de Mayo calls for Margaritas and this year I am serving up Strawberry flavored ones that include my favorite ingredient, yes you guessed it, Rosé! Super easy, I whipped it up right on my Cinco de Mayo Table {and will be sharing all the details in an upcoming post!}. In the meantime find my delish recipe below as well as a list of some of my favorite new bowls, placemats, and more that I will be using this Cinco de Mayo!

Strawberry Rosé Margarita {inspired by this recipe on epicurious.com}: makes 4 margaritas

    • 16 strawberries, hulled, sliced
    • 4 teaspoon brown sugar
    • 1 cup AVION tequila blanco
    • fresh lemon juice from 1 whole lemon
    • 6 Tablespoons of Rosé – but I use it more like a topper!

Instructions: Muddle strawberries and brown sugar until lightly crushed. Add tequila, lemon juice, rosé, and ice. Cover and shake or mix hard for 30 seconds. Pour drink over ice {do not strain}. Add more Rosé to taste as well as a few sliced strawberries!

And for what I am loving for Cinco de Mayo: fringe and ikat placemats {like these and these – the ones in this post are Homegoods!}, gold-rimmed glasses for margaritas {mine are these}, aztec bowls {like these} for guac and salsa, pastel baskets for displaying lemons and lines {here}, an assortment of white ceramic vases to display wild flowers {mine are from West Elm}. Cheers!

  2. Passover Apple Kugel

This year my husband and I hosted the cutest seder for a few families and their children. Searching for Passover recipes that are actually tasty for adults and kids can be a bit harder than you would expect, so I began browsing the internet for a Kugel substitute that everyone would enjoy. I stumbled upon a version of below and after baking and serving, I can say it is actually delish! I am not kidding, it doesn’t taste like your usual kosher for passover cakes! Sliced and placed on a cake stand, it’s perfect for a family gathering, or it’s great…

  4. Mango Salsa Cups

I have been on the hunt for some fun new ways to serve classic appetizers so when I was browsing my butlers pantry and came across these small appetizer cups, I thought a serving size portion of salsa with a few chips for dipping would be a great way to dress up a regular crowd pleaser. To make this app summer-friendly I decided to whip up a fruity salsa that I served alongside organic chips! Hope this easy summer app is a hit at your next party! Mango Salsa Recipe {as seen here}: Ingredients 3 large tomatoes, stemmed and diced small 1 medium red onion, diced…

  5. Host Mother’s Day Brunch

For this year’s Mother’s Day celebration, I partnered with Sterling Vineyards Wines to host a brunch party that was perfectly elegant, feminine, and packed with endless delicious treats. I must say I am so in love with the end result I can hardly contain my excitement! I decided to create this dreamy setup right on my patio because I had just hung my new Darlana Light Fuxture {via Circa Lighting} and the table has a beautiful view overlooking the pool! To create my tablescape I chose a tablecloth from Mode Living and a speckled gold table runner from Minted as my base, then I layered…
