Two weeks ago I teamed up with Arielle Haspel of BeWellwithArielle.com to co-host a Summer Cooking 101 Event at Chateau FH. The Event Details: Arielle is the new face of Glamour Magazine’s online video series called “Treat Yourself.” Each week this summer, Glamour featured Arielle in the kitchen showcasing a new healthy and fun cooking video – from Healthy Fish Tacos to a Post-Workout Cookies & Cream Smoothie. Excited to celebrate in her success, I wanted to host an event so she could show off her kitchen skills {plus, cooking in my kitchen meant I would be scoring the left-overs!!}. She arrived at my apartment with a slew of delicious organic ingredients and got right to work. I took the reigns as merchandiser {baby Brooks in tow!}.
On the invite list was a group of 10 top notch fashion, lifestyle, and beauty bloggers based in NYC who couldn’t wait to taste-test the dishes live. The Summer Seasonal Menu included: Zucchini Bites with Pistachio Pesto and Honey Drizzle {recipe}, Kale Caprese Pizzettes {recipe}, Watermelon Feta and Mint Skewer Appetizers {recipe}, and for party favors, cute mini mason jars packed with Maple Sesame Cashews {recipe}. My contribution was finding the perfect beverages to pair with her spread, so I chose Le Grand Courtage mini Champagne bottles for guests to enjoy while we shmoozed, and then a light and crisp white wine to accompany her summer appetizers, Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio {which I also featured in my “How to Throw a Wine and Cheese Party” post}.
As the event went on, the bloggers tweeted and insta’d away as Arielle did a live cooking demonstration with health tips and knife skills to boot. It was a fabulous end of summer soiree!!
On the hunt for healthy recipes? Head to her site, BeWellwithArielle.com, and stay tuned because tomorrow I will be sharing her Kale and Tomato Pizzette Appetizer on Fashionable Hostess.
