I find that cooking on Sunday nights is a really nice way to settle down at home after a busy weekend. I always choose to make some form of healthy fuss free food, so a simple table setting is the perfect compliment. Here are a few tips to making a summer table that is easy on your end, but gorgeous to your guests:
1. Work with bright colors that will instantly make the table pop. I went with CB2 basketweave red placemats and C. Wonder bright yellow monogram paper cocktail napkins. {How cute is the letter “G” for my last name!}
2. Use minimal number of plates and silverware. No separate salad and dinner plates, hell, screw the salad fork if you want! This will help make for a quick clean up/ more room in the dishwasher. Here I even went with large bowls rather than plates all together!
3. Pick up a pre-made flower arrangement or some fresh farmers market flowers for your centerpiece. {Check out my other fun Farmers Market finds on my Instagram!}.
4. When guests ask what they can bring, give them the task of wine. Then put out a tray of wine glasses and tell your guests to help themselves. No need for the hostess to do everything! {Just be sure to let them know what’s for dinner so they can properly choose whether to bring red or white!}.
Then sit back and enjoy! Only a few hours left till another busy week.
