Welcome to our kitchen!
My goal in designing our kitchen was to make it look elevated and elegant while still being welcoming and functional, because afterall, this is where we spend the most time together as a family! To achieve the aesthetic I wanted, I chose several noteworthy pieces that make a statement, like our gorgeous oversized lanterns over the island and our elegant and timeless cabinet pulls that dress up all of our cabinetry.

For our kitchen lighting, I chose the Visual Comfort Riverside Medium Square Lanterns in polished nickel with clear glass. The 31″ height truly sets them apart from all of the other kitchen island pendants I looked at for this space (and let’s just say I looked for months!!). Meanwhile, over by our cooktop, I chose the Visual Comfort Hulton Double Sconces in polished nickel on either side of our range hood, which is a trend I have seen again and again in traditional kitchens and couldn’t wait to have.
The next noteworthy details is something that can often times be over-looked but is incredibly important in creating an elevated space, and that is the pulls. I went directly to Top Knobs because I have used them in my previous homes and knew the quality well. Today Top Knobs is the number one manufacturer of decorative hardware for the professional market, carrying a wide variety of options/colors/styles, and is sold at top kitchen sales rooms. For our new home I used their hardware in my kitchen and in our bar room and I love what I chose. For the kitchen I chose the Top Knobs Brixton Pulls in polished nickel in the 12″ size, and I must say a long pull like this looks incredible! (They even have the mtaching 18″ appliance pull which I used for our fridge.) Then for knobs I chose the Top Knobs Barrow Knob which I think is a nice compliment to the pull. See how on one wall of our kitchen I mixed pulls and knobs on the higher cabinets, or keep scrolling to see how I mixed and matched and did pulls on the lower cabinets.

I am so excited to have shared our favorite space with you! Looking forward to sharing more soon. In the meantime follow the #ChateauFHCLT on instagram for more regular updates!
Thank you to Top Knobs for partnering on this post.
