This Valentine’s Day I decided to change things up and add an edible treat to my list of Valentine’s Day gifts. {A gift we both can enjoy? I am totally behind that!}. My husband likes all types of sweets though, so finding the right recipe for him was #WonderfullyComplicated. The dessert winner… a Chocolate Layer Cake made with Scharffen Berger chocolate.
Not usually one to bake, I decided to go all out and bake the whole thing from scratch, from the cake to the frosting. Scharffen Berger’s website had the whole recipe {click here} which uses their 99% Cacao Unsweetened Chocolate. The end product was seriously A-MAZING {have you seen the movie Matilda? It’s like the chocolate cake in the movie, no joke, huge!}. So over the top in fact that it was perfect for the whole family to feast on! I would call this a chocolate Valentine’s success!
