Holiday Home Tour 2018

Welcome to my 2018 Holiday Home Tour!

This year I went over the top decorating (maybe it had something todo with the fact that I started in October and continued decorating well into December) but the outcome is my favorite to date. I will confess some of these rooms were shot on different days, so my house is not QUITE this festive and perfect all Holiday season long, but I figured I would share each room at its finest! Welcome to the #MiaChateauFH for Holiday 2018, hope you enjoy!!

Our Christmas Tree

In our foyer I placed the Frontgate 9β€² Flocked Norway Tree which comes pre-lit (a must for a busy mamma of 3 under five!) with 12 settings of lights. With the click of a button your tree goes from white lights, to multi-colored, to blinking, it’s incredible and the kids love it.

This year I wanted todo a blue and white story for my tree and the selection of blue and white ornaments this year available at Frontgate are the nicest I have seen. The Tuilerie Bleu Ornament Collection (a 60 piece set!) is the most stunning set of glass ornaments, ranging from rich navy to frosted periwinkle (I shared a few closeups of the details but they are even prettier in person!). Then the set of 6 French Blue Ginger Jar Ornaments may be my favorite find of 2018!

Our Festive Foyer

I wanted to decorate our entrance to compliment our gorgeous tree. To start I draped 3 Joss & Main Pomegranate Glittery Pine Garlands along my staircase. I love that the sequin pomegranates sparkle during the day and then at night I simply plug in for a soft glow (it comes pre-lit!).

Then I used my Kathy Kuo gold etagere under our stairwell to showcase our stockings. I draped a Frontgate Gilded Garland (which is made of glittering metallic ribbon, glass ornaments, and comes pre-lit) along the top of the etagere. Then I hung our kid’s Pottery Barn faux fur stockings from the second shelf. To complete the look I sprinkled in some sweet Holiday decor like the Garnet Hill “24 Days Till Christmas” Blocks and Bottle Brush Trees.

Our Holiday Dinner Dining Room

Ready for a gorgeous Holiday dinner, I placed the Joss & Main Sierra 7.5β€² Green/White Spruce Artificial Christmas Tree with 750 Clear Lights in the corner of my dining room decorated with a mix of gold and silver ornaments (specifically this set of 50 ornaments).

Then on table I let my Annieglass pieces do all the talking, placing the gorgeous gold serving items down the center of my dining table surrounded by gold ornaments. The Edgey Party Tray for Salmon topped with dill, the Edgey Trophy Bowl filled with garlic mashed potatoes, the Edgey Square Platter filled with green beans almondine, and the Edgey Pedestal Stand for dessert, mini lemon blueberry donuts.

In the backdrop on my buffet I placed 2 Frontgate Gilded Elegance Cordless Candle Holders. 31″ tall, they make a true statement, decorated with lifelike magnolia leaves, berry, pine, acrylic beads, and glass baubles!

Holiday Tea Time

Who doesn’t want to cozy up with a hot cup of tea by the tree! After hosting our Holiday dinner party, I moved the Joss & Main Sierra 7.5β€² Green/White Spruce Artificial Christmas Tree with 750 Clear Lights to my family room and added more gold and white ornaments. Then I placed my favorite selection of Holiday Teas by Harney & Sons and Marchesa by Lenox tea cups on my coffee tables. The Harney & Sons Holiday Tins make the tea extra festive! On my coffee table I filled my Juliska Berry & Thread Glass Hurricanes with gold ornaments, I placed white Christmas Tree candles, and surrounded the scene with Pottery Barn mini star string lights.

The Holiday Dessert Bar

For a recent Holiday gathering I made a Holiday Brownie Bar with the most festive DIY toppings. On the menu: Brownies three ways – topped with crushed peppermint, icing and fruit, and topped with candy ornaments (ie. red sugar pearls). Super festive and delicious, I had to include it as a part of the tour. Curious for all the details? Head to the full blog post!

Twinkling Front Steps

On our front steps I placed Frontage’s Boxwood Spiral Topiaries (2 in size 6′ and 2 in size 4′). Incredibly lifelike and pre-lit, I actually be won’t needing any additional holiday lights at our front door! (These are plug-in FYI, so I set them with a timer for dusk till dawn!). Each topiary plant comes potted in a plastic liner so you can easily set them in your favorite planter or urn; I placed mine in Frontage’s Classical Tuscany Urn (in color Cypress).

On both sides of the front door I hung a Frontgate Gilded Elegance cordless wreath and I have to say I have never seen such stunning outdoor wreaths (the garlands in my foyer are from the same Frontgate collection!). Glittering metallic ribbon weaves through the cypress and eucalyptus leaves, and there are real glass ornaments (best of all they are battery operated so no cords!).

Here’s a pretty photo of the Frontgate tree lit up so you can really see it shine!!
