Dane’s Blue Nursery

Dane’s Blue Haven

We are all smiles over here because Dane’s nursery is done!!

This past month we re-located and re-designed Dane’s room. We had a small sitting area next to Reese and Brooks’s room that if we enclosed, could be the perfect small bedroom for Dane (and give him a jack and Jill bathroom and closet with his brother). It seemed like the perfect win win situation and the chance to gain an extra room in our house (since we gave up my husband’s office when he was born!).

Today is the big reveal!! Hope you love it as much as he does!!

Isn’t this room so bright and cheerful!! That’s where the Annie Selke Chinois Lattice French Blue wallpaper came in – this is the first wallpaper I have done in a bedroom in our house and I am obsessed!! Also from Annie Selke, I chose a beautiful plush blue rug which is so cozy since we spend most of our time on the floor.

Next was new furniture. Dane’s changing table wasn’t in the best condition to I updated to this changing table from DucDucNYC in a classic white design and a light blue interior. Also on my design process I shared I was getting the Quinn Cubby Storage by DucDucNYC, but my daughter loved it so much we placed it in her room (reveal coming soon).

The most talented artist Sally McBride, who coincidentally I went to college with, made me the two most fabulous pieces from her collection “The Letter Nest” for Dane’s nursery: the Animal Alphabet and a custom “Name” Drawing with Dane’s Name in the shape of Tractors (which is Dane’s obsession!!). They could not look sweeter on his bookshelf – which is a simple open shelving unit from IKEA.

I placed the name drawing on a floating shelf alongside some of Dane’s Cuddle & Kind Dolls. Then alongside Dane’s bed I found this adorable table and chairs set at Homegoods (I know – insanely cute!!).

The finishing touch was the Serena & lily Headlands Pendant!!
