After a girlfriend of mine raved about this fabulous coconut water cocktail she had on her recent trip to Miami, I got inspired to search the internet for a coconut water cocktail that sounded equally as yummy, hydrating, and (in my mind at least!) healthy. What I found: a Coconut Water & Muddled Strawberry Cocktail recipe that tastes as good as it looks!
How to serve this cocktail: At a dinner party in glass martini glasses with gorgeous garnish, or for daytime, serve at a backyard party in a large pitcher! I chose to garnish mine with a lime wedge but feel free to add garnish that suits your theme like an umbrella or swirly straw!
Coconut Water & Muddled Strawberry Cocktail Ingredients: [makes 4 drinks or 1 small pitcher]
- 8 ounces Absolut Cherrykran (or your preferred vodka)
- 1 mini bottle (187 ML) of Villa Jolanda Rose Moscato (or Sparkling Wine of your choice)
- 12 strawberries
- 4 teaspoon Agave
- 4 cups coconut water [I chose Vita Coco]
- 8 basil leaves chopped
- 8 mint leaves chopped
- 2 limes- 1 juiced and 1 for garnish
- 8 ice cubes or 2 small cups of ice
Coconut Water & Muddled Strawberry Cocktail Directions:
Muddle strawberries in a bowl until mostly mushed. Add Agave, basil and mint. Mix well. Transfer to large pitcher and add remaining ingredients. Pour equal parts into martini glasses (or glasses of your choice). Use a spoon to add strawberries and greens to each glass. Slice lime. Garnish on rims. Serve.
