Host an Elegant Black & White Dinner Party
When it comes to investing in dishware, I love recommending black and white because it is so versatile. When paired with certain centerpieces, it can be edgy and modern {see an example with silver mercury vases here}, but when paired with classic centerpieces {as seen here with a bouquet of elegant white roses}, it can take on a whole new feel of sophistication.
For today’s table, I started by laying out my Chilewich White Woven Basketweave Placemats and next placed my dinner plates {similar Kate Spade Dinner Plate} and an accent bowl {similar West Elm Potter’s Workshop Tableware} on top. I placed Stone Textile Grey Diamond Print Napkins with Chilewich White Basketweave Napkin Rings to the left of each table setting. For glassware, I placed my Urban Belle stemless glasses for water and my Riedel Chardonnay Wine Glasses for wine. The centerpiece was a bouquet of a dozen white roses in a glass cylinder vase {I love seeing the stems!} and the finishing touch was a silver water pitcher {similar Michael Aram New Molten Pitcher}.
