This Spring, I planned the perfect Bridal Shower for my girlfriend and created the perfect breakfast buffet for guests. The theme was romantic, bright, with a big emphasis on florals, and of course, a beautiful backdrop for photos! I asked everyone to wear their favorite sundress {preferable in pastels or whites} and to come hungry!
I set my display up on my dining room table. Everyone was greeted with a faux flower crown {perfectly matched to pastels, of course!} and behind them lay my beautiful brunch display. The main feature was waffles layered with Nutella and topped with fresh fruit! Nutella is a go-to when it comes to entertaining friends for brunch, so this seemed like the perfect occasion to celebrate with the bride. Alongside my waffles with Nutella were muffins and fresh fruit bowls.
In my drink dispensers, I made fresh lemonade and fruit-infused water {which is one of my favorite ways to make drinking water more appetizing in the summer!}. Simply slice your favorite fruits like strawberries, oranges, lemons, or pineapple and allow to sit for an hour before your event! Then, of course, I served rose champagne and Pellegrino.
My serving pieces are what really make the display special. On my white tablecloth {I love white as a base to make all my colors pop!}, I placed tons and tons of pink! I chose pink small plates for the lunch, pink napkins and floral napkin rings {that match the flower crowns perfectly!}. I chose a mix of pink and white cake stands {see options to shop below!}. I am obsessed with flamingos right now {yes, more pink!}, so these flamingo bowls were the cutest find. To finish the look I stuck with a mix of white, pink, and just a tad of purple for my flowers.
When serving the main attraction, the waffles with Nutella, I recommend serving by tier! Or better yet, having a secret stash of plain waffles behind the display that you take out come eating time. I also recommend having spare jars of Nutella handy for guests to spread. Syrup is so last summer!
I loved sharing this special day with my girlfriends! The bride loved it!
