As my Instagram followers know well, this past weekend little Reese turned two! Last year I hosted a big party with a musical performance and over thirty kids under the age of one, so this year we decided to do something a bit more low key and celebrate just the four of us. Of course I wanted Reese to be equally as excited about celebrating at home, so I decorated the living room with an adorable girly spread.
To do so, I picked up cupcakes from Magnolia Bakery {my favorite NYC cupcake shop} and displayed a selection of pink and white ones on a Juliska cake stand. I topped them with the sweetest gold cupcake toppers by TOPS Malibu. Alongside the stand I placed an empty Diptyque candle glass full of pink striped straws, a vase full of fresh white roses, Meri Meri pink princess napkins, and an array of wrapped gifts.
The agenda for the day included a morning trip to Build-A-Bear, an afternoon of opening and playing with gifts {my favorite was her mini vanity}, and an evening of indulging in cupcakes, pink lemonade and rosé champagne. Reese loved having so much attention all day and she thoroughly enjoyed the sweets {I mean, look at that smile!}. It was truly a happy birthday at home.
