1. Fall Shopping List

Fall Decor Shopping List by Fashionable Hostess

In preparation of my Fall Home Tour I wanted to share my Fall shopping guide: everything I am loving for the new season. I am all about the some small touches like a new doormat or a rustic cheese paddle board for your next cocktail gathering. While fresh couch pillows or knit throw blankets instantly transform your family room into a cozy haven {and don’t forget a rattan basket to store them in}! Shop more items below! I look forward to sharing more of how I have been transitioning my own home in the upcoming posts!

  2. Update your Home for Fall

Back in Spring when I gave my first living room tour, my room had a few bright accent items – from my flowers to my couch pillows. But now that Fall has rolled around I made a few adjustments to make my home seasonally ready. My goal: To swap the brights for neutrals so it would still feel airy and bright when guests walked in, but have an overall warmer Fall-feel. What did I do to make this happen? First I started by swapping my bright couch pillows for neutral couch pillows {one of my favorites here}. Next, on my coffee table I removed my…

  3. Bedside Table Decor

    Fashionable Hostess Bedside Table

While most people’s bedside table ends up clustered with books, papers, and lipsticks from last night’s clutch, there’s nothing prettier than a coiffed bedside table to complete a room. Here are a few styling ideas in case you are looking to give yours a makeover. Look Number 2: Three stacked coffee table books {“American Style Icon“, “Made to Order“, “Camille Styles Entertaining“}, and three girly perfumes on top…

  4. Updating my Kitchen with the Adorne Collection by Legrand

This week I got started on my Spring Cleaning and I wanted to focus on the most popular room in the house, my kitchen. Out with the old… chipped dishes, left-over Holiday decor, the list went on. One swap that I hadn’t considered for my todo list, but quickly realized was essential, was switching out my old electrical plates and light switches. When I updated the kitchen when I moved into the house last year, I switched the pendant lights and the cabinet pulls, but I actually never thought to update the light switches, thus leaving older, chunky switches on my beautiful white walls….

  5. Boll & Branch Bedding

When I think about the place my family spends the most time, sure enough our master bed is hands down the most popular spot. It’s where we cuddle up for episodes of Daniel Tiger or Dora the Explorer before bed, it’s the spot for afternoon books and stories, and it’s the “saftey” when we play a wild and crazy game of tag. Pretty much every morning and every night begins and ends with all four of us cuddled close. So when I decided to make a few New Years refreshers, like I did in my office {here}, I also decided todo the…
