Welcome to Baby Brooks’ Nursery! We are so pleased with the finished look and you can tell by all the smiles in this post that we are loving playing in our new space! While the room started out as a teenage boy’s room with dark wallpapered walls, wooden built-in shelving, a dark rug, and gothic inspired lighting, we instantly updated the look with the sweetest Benjamin Moore paints, a light colored rug, new light fixtures, and endless baby accents in white and blue.
For furniture we really worked with what we had in our nursery in New York city; the Alex Crib from Giggle, a grey and white rocking chair from Buy Buy Baby, and a leaning bookshelf from CB2 {similar}. We took the Madeline nightstand from Reese’s room, I purchased a ceramic Horse Lamp at the Jonathan Adler warehouse sale {they still have the ceramic statue available}, and my fun find were the white animal heads hanging on the wall from Kulture Bomb. To complete the room we wanted clean white shades that really kept the sun out {you know how important that is for babies!} so we chose white colored black out shades from ShadesOnline.com.
For our photo shoot, Reese wore the sweetest flutter sleeve chambray blouse from Old Navy {see the full outfit here} while Brooks ran around freely in a Huggies Little Snugglers diaper. With all of Brooks’ walking, stumbling, and dancing, we love the flexible ‘snugfit’ waistband to help keep in mess!
Looking forward to many more giggles and snuggles in this cozy space!
