1. Celebrating with Papyrus

It’s been a jam packed summer with so much to celebrate in our family. My sister got engaged to her high school sweet heart, my sister-in-law graduated from college, and Brooks turned three years old. It’s been celebration after celebration! While my kids have loved the endless lineup of cupcakes and sweets, I have been most excited about the party hosting opportunities!

We have spent the month of July at our family home in Aspen and throughout the month we have had family coming in and out, making for lots of celebratory opportunities. So, I wanted to stock up on paper party supplies so we could host a mini celebration whenever these guests visited. When I heard Papyrus, one of my favorite stationery brands also had party supplies, I had to check it out! And seriously, isn’t this collection of their “Let Celebrate Something” party goods adorable!!

In honor of my sister visiting this week I couldn’t wait to set up a pretty display on our porch overlooking the mountains. From dessert and dinner plates, to cocktail and dinner napkins, to straws, cups, and even cupcake toppers {jeweled party picks}, Papyrus had so much to choose from, making the display adorable in a snap. I wanted to create a sweets display for after dinner with vanilla cupcakes, yogurt covered raisins, and of course champagne, and thanks to all the matchy pieces it came out too cute!

Looking to throw together a beautiful party in no time? Be sure to check out Papyrus’s various collections from simple celebrations, to bridal showers, to birthdays!

Thank you to Papyrus for sponsoring this post.
  2. Gold Home Accents

As a follow up to Monday’s post, I wanted to share some more Home Decor Inspiration for those of you shopping! Even as we head into August I am still loving Gold Accents spruced throughout my home. Whether it is wine glasses with gold decorative detailing, gold trim on a carafe, a side table with gold legs, or gold napkin rings {which are from H&M Home at an amazing price!!}. Here’s a look at some other favorites! Shop the post:

  3. Host a Glam Wine Night

I love hosting causal nights at home for a few friends…. takeout sushi, wine, and some much needed adult time once the kids are tucked away… I actually love these nights as much as I love going out! When it comes to hosting these nights, I leave the food to takeout but I always have a pretty selection of barware chosen and a small cheese plate with snacks to hold everyone over until the food arrives. Equally as important as the pretty wine glasses, the fresh hydrangea, sleek cheese tray, and fun coasters are the decorative pieces sitting on my coffee table…

  4. Dinner Party Spotlight: Mama and Tata

By far the dreamiest party I have seen this summer… meet the hosts and today’s Dinner Party Series Guests, sisters and creators of the blog Mama & Tata. “Mama” Candice Miller and “Tata” {French for auntie} Jenna Crespi are New York gurus and share their picks for NY’s best services from beauty, fitness, travel, mommy musts, to food {of course keeping the most fashionable selections in mind} on their blog. This summer they threw a soiree of all soirees at their Hamptons home and I was ecstatic that they wanted to share this incredible party with FH readers. Read on for a bio of these trendy…

  5. Host the Prettiest Summer Picnic

Summer time calls for the prettiest Summer picnic, so today I created a beautiful and delicious spread that I can’t wait to share with you all. On the menu: pressed turkey and cheese paninis which I filled with fresh arugula before placing on a white luxe platter. Alongside the sandwiches, I served a watermelon, feta, and fresh mint salad, a cheese and grapes display, and a bowl of fresh cherries. For dessert I picked up an apple pie, but to make it my own, I decorated it with a few extra flowers from my arrangements and placed it on the sweetest mint…

what's going on this week on fashionable hostess...
