I am loving spending time in my new bathroom… a vanity area to prep for my day, natural light from my large window, counter space to lay out my makeup… it’s amazing how you truly appreciate these things after living in tight bathrooms with minimal counter space {or any space for that matter} in New York City!

For today’s post I partnered with a brand that’s quite familiar with the idea of enjoying life’s small luxuries, Frette. Frette is one of the world’s leading fine linen brands, with bed and bath linens that can be found in some of the world’s most prestigious hotels, homes, and stores. When we spoke about partnering I knew their towels would be my dream finishing touch to make this space my mini sanctuary of relaxation.

Because I have been sharing my home updates, I figured I should share how I transformed this space to start. {No, it did not look exactly like this when we bought the house…while we didn’t move the countertops or change the hardware… we did give the bathroom a nice “facelift.”} The mini makeover consisted of replacing the sconces {which I got from Worlds Away}, the mirrors {which I got from Gabby}, cabinet knobs {which I got from Bathroom Unique}, and painting the cabinetry and walls {with paint from Benjamin Moore}.

Personalizing the space to become my mini haven meant incorporating Frette’s plush terry bath sheets {which are about twice the size of any normal towel}. Then merchandising a dish of my favorite summer perfumes {the newest being Figue eu de Perfume from Calypso St Barths}, purchasing a funky vanity stool {which I was thrilled to come across at HomeGoods}, and of course displaying the prettiest pink roses throughout. Welcome to my happy place!

  2. Chambray & Bubbles

We are starting to settle in to our new home and I have to say the kids are just LOVING having a backyard. Every afternoon we swing open the backdoor to run around in the sunshine, playing games of hide and seek, searching for treasures {ie. acorns}, and most recently, blowing bubbles. I always said we wanted to move so our kids could grow up in a house with a yard like my husband and I did, but it wasn’t until we got here and started playing out back that I realized just how lucky we are to have the…

  3. Nashville Master Bedroom Tour

While our house is still bustling with construction for another few weeks, it was important to me to make our master bedroom a cozy sanctuary away from the chaos. Still a bit bare {because it is seriously double the size of our last bedroom}, we have been slowly filling the room with new pieces like our new Inspire Q king size bed and beautiful Echo Design bedding to make it feel like home. We brought our favorite Slim Aarons photo, Poolside Gossip, with us and hung it in a prime spot on our wall across from the bed. Much like…

  4. Foyer Makeover

The #TNChateauFH {ie. our new home} is really starting to come together… here is a snapshot of the modernized foyer!! We took down the paisley wallpaper in place of Benjamin Moore Ashland Slate 1608 Satin Impervo, updated the stair runner to this beautiful grey and cream geometric pattern by Patterson Flynn Martin, and replaced the crystal chandelier with an antique brass lantern from Circa Lighting. To complete the space we chose a round entry table and a custom tufted settee {similar}. It’s amazing how a new paint color and sleek light fixture can really change the whole vibe of a room {especially a space that…
