Garden Party Menu

Monday’s garden party tabletop was a stunner, so what’s a gal to serve at a party this fabulous? Everything decadent of course! And while the selection of the proper foods is important, equally as much so are the displays they are put on. So for this party I took out my gold bar cart to display an array of treats on a three tier cake stand {inspired by this photo}. Then over on my dining table I filled a wooden cheese board with cheeses and crackers {as seen in this post}. Here are all the little details {and tons of tips} so you can bring the perfect party to life…

For your salty and savory fare, I recommend various tea sandwiches like this adorable cucumber sandwich with herbed cream cheese spread, a cheese selection like this beautiful cheese tower or this elaborate cheese board, and a melt-in-your mouth crostini like this goat cheese red pepper baguette topped with cherry tomatoes. Don’t forget that floral arrangements are equally as important alongside your buffets as they are on your table… even a few simple ranunculus stalks can look so elegant!

For your sweet tooth lovers, an array of elegant pastries are a must. Get domestic and bake a batch of cranberry scones or assemble a tray of mini strawberry shortcake cups. Or for the less domesticated {and tight-for-time} hostesses, head to your local bakery for mini carrot cakes, strawberry shortbread, petit fours, and of course macarons. Serve your baked goods with small dessert plates and have an array of fresh jams and sea salted butter to spread! Don’t forget special cocktail napkins for your serving stations. These bright pinks are from Emily McCarthy and the linen ones are Mark and Graham.

For drinks, Pellegrino {displayed like this on the bottom level of your bar cart}, Rosé wine {Whispering Angel} or Sparkling Rosé {Santa Margherita Sparkling Rosé} are not only perfect for Spring time sipping but will also match flawlessly back to the table. I love these Anthropologie Fleur-de-lys glasses to make the Pellegrino a bit more elegant!

Last but not least, a parting gift is the perfect way to end your day! Guests should be so full by this point that they can hardly think of eating another bite, so how adorable are these mini Volupsa macaron scented candles as a party favor. All the sweetness minus the guilt!
