I absolutely love Valentine’s Day and it’s not for the usual reason that most married women do, which is a day of gifts and romantic dinners. Actually to be honest, my husband doesn’t really care for the Holiday and we usually opt to go out a few days later when we can actually get into the restaurants we like! But the real reason I love the Holiday is the excuse to use everything pink. Pink flowers, cocktails, candy… and it’s more than acceptable, it’s encouraged!! So styling the photo shoots you will see over the next two weeks {as well as the ones I have done in the past – see sections here and here}, have been some of my favorites to date because I love pink more than the next girly girl. So enough chatting and on to this stunning Valentine’s Day Bar Cart.
First and foremost I went all out on the flower arrangement on the bottom level. If you aren’t familiar with Juliet roses, they are breathtaking. Very expensive so only a once and while treat, but I just had to splurge this Holiday. I mixed the Juliet roses with pink peonies, and a few spray roses {which are actually inexpensive and and great for filling in any gaps}. Then the Chandon Rosé champagne cocktails I whipped up are served in beautiful Tuscany Classic Flutes by Lenox {I just love the height of these glasses!}, and for the finishing touch, I created gold sugar-coated rims. {In next Monday’s post I will be talking about how I made these drinks so stay tuned.} Right before serving, I stuck toothpicks through Sugarfina sugar lips and placed them on top of each cocktail. Sugarfina has the cutest Valentine’s Day candy from their “Olive You” boxes, to sugared lips, to champagne bubbles, and I love their packaging {a great idea for “Galentines Day” treats, ladies!}. The finishing touch here was the “XO” hangtags which I hung from each flute. For all the other fun details, shop my Valentine’s Day decorations below! Cheers!
