Back in May I created the most beautiful champagne bar for one of my parties and I got SO MANY compliments, that I wanted to share a closer look today because this really is such a fun display to set up for any summer party. All you need is a console table, a great champagne bucket, chilled champagne, plastic or acrylic champagne flutes, flowers and voila, you have got the most gorgeous bar!
I want to share a few links to the items I used here… The console table is the Emory Console Table from Frontgate and it’s really so useful when I entertain. It’s lightweight and I love that the legs are simple and sleek (no cover or table cloth required!). For drinks, I served a light and refreshing Italian Sparkling Wine by MezzaCorona. For keeping my champagne chilled, I LOVE the Hudson Champagne Bowl from Z Gallerie; it’s such a fun way to display extra bottles, while keeping them cold. The bowl is secretly filled with ice inside – um, genius!! The glasses I chose are plastic but what makes them look elegant is the gold detailing; here is a link (hostess trick: always go with a design or detailing on plastic, it makes the items look richer especially in photos!).
To execute perfectly, set up your display at one end of the pool, taking into consideration what your backdrop is! You know people will be instagramming up a storm so I recommend taking a few photos beforehand! You may find that where it’s situated may not be the best backdrop for pictures! I originally had mine at the opposite end of pool but then realized that in moving it to the farther end, my house would be a gorgeous backdrop. You can’t go wrong with a solid wall, but anything too dark or messy will definitely take away from your display!
Lastly, I have to mention the amazing bright pink flamingos floating in my pool. I knew I wanted a pop of color in the backyard, so when I saw these pool floats on Frontgate, I knew they were a must. I will say that having fun and bright pool floats (especially ones with some height – like a swan, flamingo or unicorn!) can be quite instagram-friendly. I linked some good ones below!
Hope this inspires you for all of your upcoming Summer soirees!
