Remember when I first started experimenting with bold lip color {see my bright red and pop pink picks here}? Well for Fall I am all about the neutral colors. What I love about a neutral lip is that it really gives you a chance to play up your blush which is something you can NOT do with a bright lip {my go-to blush in this case is the NARS Multiple Stick in Orgasm}. So how do you pick the right color for you? A little tip I learned via Harpers Bazaar cc Jeanine Lobell, “For someone with a fairer complexion, a nude that’s too beige-y will appear yellow; instead pick a nude that’s in the pale pink family… For medium tones, I would use a deeper beige to rose nude.”
So what neutrals are you finding in my bag {*Note they look darker on the packaging than they appear!!}:
- MAC Cosmetics Viva Glam Lipstick in color Viva Glam V is my go-to Fall Lipstick.
- MAC Retro Matte Pro Longwear Lip Pencil in color Staunchly Stylish is my go-to pencil, yes, lip pencils are back, SO not 1980’s!
- MAC Cosmetics Cremesheen Glass in color Boy Bait is my go-to date night gloss which I use over my Viva Glam Lipstick.
- Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in color Canotier is my go-to for daytime “I’m not trying too hard” neutral lips.
- Elizabeth Arden Beautiful Color Luminous Lip Gloss in color Cameo is my go-to THICK gloss for an extreme sparkle – something I love for weddings and events.
