Holiday Decor in our Dining Room

It’s officially the Holiday Season and I am really excited because this year I am styling our home in a different direction than in the past. In the past I always chosen trees and accent branches with lots of flocking, and always chosen ornaments and decorative elements that were either elegant whites or coastal blues (another example here). But this year I am embracing classic greens. I am doing a green tree in our family room and placing green garlands and branches throughout the house, for a more classic Christmas look.

This inspiration started because I found these green evergreen branches for only $15 at Target, which I used to create garlands (even one in my dining room light fixture) as well as in several vases (as seen in the corner arrangement in my dining room).

As a temporary centerpiece until our first dinner party, I placed a tray of mercury glass trees and Simon Pearce trees down the center of the table. I can’t wait to style this space for our first holiday dinner party of the season!
