I am loving spending time in my new bathroom… a vanity area to prep for my day, natural light from my large window, counter space to lay out my makeup… it’s amazing how you truly appreciate these things after living in tight bathrooms with minimal counter space {or any space for that matter} in New York City!
For today’s post I partnered with a brand that’s quite familiar with the idea of enjoying life’s small luxuries, Frette. Frette is one of the world’s leading fine linen brands, with bed and bath linens that can be found in some of the world’s most prestigious hotels, homes, and stores. When we spoke about partnering I knew their towels would be my dream finishing touch to make this space my mini sanctuary of relaxation.
Because I have been sharing my home updates, I figured I should share how I transformed this space to start. {No, it did not look exactly like this when we bought the house…while we didn’t move the countertops or change the hardware… we did give the bathroom a nice “facelift.”} The mini makeover consisted of replacing the sconces {which I got from Worlds Away}, the mirrors {which I got from Gabby}, cabinet knobs {which I got from Bathroom Unique}, and painting the cabinetry and walls {with paint from Benjamin Moore}.
Personalizing the space to become my mini haven meant incorporating Frette’s plush terry bath sheets {which are about twice the size of any normal towel}. Then merchandising a dish of my favorite summer perfumes {the newest being Figue eu de Perfume from Calypso St Barths}, purchasing a funky vanity stool {which I was thrilled to come across at HomeGoods}, and of course displaying the prettiest pink roses throughout. Welcome to my happy place!
