Since it’s officially November, it’s time to start planning for Thanksgiving entertaining! Keeping in line with last year’s table settings where I created centerpieces consisting of pumpkins, squash and gourds on a Nambe wooden cheese board {see link here or here for a video}, this year I am switching to an equally economical choice of farmers market apples displayed in an array of orchard baskets! I found my baskets in the NY flower district but there are tons of great options on Etsy.
I started by lining my baskets with romaine lettuce to fill up the bottom and create a nice cushioning {plus I love the pop of green}. I then placed an array of apples right on top. I placed mini baskets at each table setting on indigo napkins, and then used the largest basket for my centerpiece. To compliment my farm table theme I opted for mason jar water glasses. Then the finishing touch was a large picnic basket which I placed at the end of my table filled with baguettes and jams, a fun substitute to your average bread basket! {Want a table that lasts? These faux apples can serve as a centerpiece for several occasions of the holiday season!}
I am really looking forward to filling this table with some delicious Thanksgiving food! {Get inspiration for a delicious recipe in my Food Section.}
