Spicy Jalapeño Margaritas

For Cinco de Mayo

Yesterday on the blog I shared a fun grilling story where I made a Taco bar complete with fish tacos, grilled corn and pineapple (if you missed it click here!). So today I wanted to share the perfect compliment (especially with Cinco de Mayo quickly approaching this weekend!), Spicy Jalapeño Margaritas!! Read on for my recipe and be sure to shop these adorable glasses and my go-to cutting board at the end!! Cheers!

Spicy Jalapeño Margaritas

Ingredients:

serves 4 drinks

  • 12 ounces Spicy Margarita Mix {Williams Sonoma makes a great Mango one here and an organic skinny version here}
  • 6 ounces tequila, I prefer Casamigos
  • 4 ounces Cointreau
  • 4 Jalapeño peppers, use the base for slicing thinly into the drink and save the tops for garnish
  • Fresh cilantro and Dried Citrus for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Place the margarita mix in a cocktail shaker along with tequila, Cointreau and ice. Shake.
  2. Prep your glasses with ice and sliced jalapeños. Strain your margarita mix on top.
  3. Garnish with jalapeño pepper tops, and a few fresh cilantro leaves. See what I mean by the “tops” in the following photo!
