With Rosh Hashannah and Yom Kippur coming up over the next two weeks, I wanted to share this gorgeous tablescape that I will be creating for New Years lunch for my fellow Jewish Hostesses.
To make this table pop, I chose a timeless and elegant china pattern by Villeroy & Boch, the Switch 3 Cordoba. I will say I always gravitate towards blues for the Jewish Holidays, and paired with the Verona Charger in Deep Blue, the plate pattern pops even more. I also love that when choosing such a distinct pattern, you don’t have to go too crazy when it comes to linens. Paired to a simple white or natural, these pieces do all the talking.
The flower arrangement I created for the centerpiece, with its loose eucalyptus branches that drape the table, combo’d with simple white roses and ranunculus, feels like the perfect transitional bouquet from Summer to Fall. For Rosh Hashanah I will also add a bowl of apples to either end.
At each place setting I like to put a little dish of applesauce, a tradition my grandmother used for our family and that I try to re-create for the Holidays in her memory. These Boston Colored Green Bowls look so elegant as my applesauce dishes, and again give the table that Fall-feel.
You probably remember I fell in love with my Boston water goblets in green over my last event, so I placed these gorgeous glasses over on the buffet table for serving drinks as guests enter our home. I always try to serve welcome drinks in glasses that I know will compliment the table. Also the pop of green serves as pretty backdrop to our table as guests enter the room.
Wishing everyone a Happy and Healthy Jewish New Year!!
