There is this great misconception that a gorgeous centerpiece on your table equates to a beautiful floral arrangement {See other tables where I also forewent flowers for candles or vases here and here!}. So today’s table again proves otherwise. My grandmother bought me the Kelly Wearstler’s Classic Brass Legs {A gift only a true FH would appreciate} for my one year wedding anniversary. I have had so much fun displaying them in a variety of ways on my bookshelf. But when I was throwing a last minute dinner and realized I hadn’t picked up flowers, I decided these could be the perfect substitute for my table’s centerpiece, and they were! They were just the right height {guests could still see eye-to-eye} and the gold tied back to the gold accent in my plates. I then opted for natural and neutral tones to tie it all together. My splatter painted wooden place mats from CB2, my wooden cheese board for my Brie, Figs, and Agave recipe {from this post}, and then another fun touch of easy picking foods – nuts and Goji berries in small wooden bowls. I served my wine in a William Yeoward Decanter and used stemless wine glasses on the table.
