Today’s Dinner Party Spotlight is an incredibly talented Decor Blogger, Jennifer of Decor Gold Designs. Another gal that I met through instagram {and take one look and you will see why!}, I am so happy to now be a follower of her site. From decor tips, to home tours, to shopping guides, if you are a decor lover you will easily get lost on the site. Jennifer’s dining room though is seriously a swoon-worthy space. I am in love with the elegant bench… the mirror… the chandelier… I am pretty sure eating off of paper plates in this room would still seem classy! Anyways, I had to have her showcase this space on FH, so read on for a little interview and how to get the look! Thanks for sharing Jennifer!
Q & A:
FH: Tell me a quick bio of how you came to start Décor Gold Designs? Any fun details, awards, stories?
Jennifer: I began Decor Gold Designs on Instagram in May of 2015 as a way to connect with other home decor enthusiasts. Since then, the account has grown organically to its current follower count of +125,000 and a website seemed to be the logical next step. I’m simply passionate about design and decorating and hope I can inspire others to see the full potential within their own home.
FH: What is your entertaining style? Traditional, Contemporary, Seasonal?
Jennifer: I would say my entertaining style is one of casual elegance. I love to dress up, but I also want my guests to feel completely comfortable in my home. As far as the dining room, I try to make sure that I mix and match dinnerware, linens, and florals so the display never looks the same.
FH: How often do you entertain and for how many guests?
Jennifer: We entertain for family and close friends every few months.
FH: Do you have a go-to recipe or dish {or do you avoid cooking at all costs}?
Jennifer: Does delivery count? Ha! In all seriousness, my husband does most of the cooking around here. But, he and the rest of our family seem to really enjoy my chicken enchiladas.
FH: Do you have a go-to cocktail?
Jennifer: I love just about anything mixed with champagne.
FH: Did something inspire you for today’s table? A certain color, flower, plate?
Jennifer: When I’m at the store, I typically look over the floral section and find the flowers that look the most vibrant and healthy start there. For today’s table, I started with the blush-colored roses and added the hydrangeas to create an unexpected color combination.
