After attending the launch of the Draper James store in Nashville, I was ecstatic when the brand asked me to collaborate for a holiday-themed post. {In case you are not familiar with Draper James, it is the cutest brand of home décor and clothing by Reese Witherspoon.} Being new to the South, it seemed like my official welcome by partnering with the perfectly ‘Southern belle’ brand, and I couldn’t wait to create an FH–worthy display of Holiday cocktails. Then come party time, I paired my cocktails back to my ideal Holiday party outfit, a skirt and blouse combo from their Holiday collection, the Draper James Madison Bow Top and Francis Fluted Skirt.
To create my Holiday cocktail party spread, I started by taking their ribbon tray and filling it with home-made pomegranate cocktails {recipe below} which I whipped up in my Draper James silver martini shaker. For snacks I served Smart Pop popcorn in their silver pedestal bowl and mini toasts in their silver toast rack. I served the drinks with Draper James coasters {how cute is the one that says “Pleased as punch” – ha!}, and the finishing touch was using their mint julep cup as a flower vase for fresh roses.
To make my new favorite Holiday cocktail, a Pomegranate Cosmopolitan Cocktail {as found on PomWonderful.com}, see below!
Pomegranate Cosmopolitan Cocktail Ingredients:
- 1-1/3 oz. freshly squeezed pomegranate juice* or POM Wonderful 100% Pomegranate Juice
- 1-3/4 oz. vodka
- 1/3 oz. orange liqueur
- 1/3 oz. fresh lime juice
- Garnish: Twist of lime
Preparation: Pour ingredients into a shaker filled with ice. Shake sharply and strain into glass. Garnish with a twist of lime. Serve and enjoy.
Be sure to head over to the Draper James blog for a full interview their team did, asking fun questions about how my transition has been to Southern living!
