While my photographer was away the last few weeks, I had a bit of extra time on my hands to brainstorm for my next Spring tabletop. I headed to Pinterest where I quickly fell in love with the stunning outdoor entertaining elements that Spring allows, and excitedly began to create a garden party board collecting all of my favorite pictures. The common themes throughout these images were the stunning Spring floral arrangements, the bright plates and glassware, and the daintiest party foods displayed on gorgeous cake stands. I started a list of my favorite ideas which came together to create this beautiful tabletop. Because I am so in love with the way this came out, I want the “Garden Party” theme to last throughout the week. Today I am kicking it off with this tablescape, Wednesday I will post on “what to serve” for the luxurious nibbles, and Friday will be a “DIY tutorial” for how to re-create these floral centerpieces. I hope you have as much fun taking in this Spring table as I did creating it!
When envisioning this table I wanted to incorporate a lot of greens, so the first thing I picked out were the plates, and these {which look like China!} from Anthropologie are perfectly refined yet fun! These Fleur-de-Lys glasses {only $8!} and Dodie Thayer for Tory Burch lettuce wear canapé plates matched perfectly to the green as well. For wine, I wanted to serve rosé to add a touch of soft pink to the table, which I served in my Juliska Amalia wine glasses. And to finish off the look I am on a serious gold kick, so I chose my West Elm gold flatware.
Then I wanted a few more accents on the table to bring in pops of color. One item that I placed simply for decorative purposes was an antique teapot {similar} which has a delicate floral design. Next I took a cupcake pedestal from Pottery Barn and packed it with a heaping pile of bright macarons. The main display of treats and snacks took place over on my Target gold bar cart {only $129 and has been one of my favorite purchases for entertaining!}, which I filled with endless baked goods {more to come on this on Wednesday}.
I am so in love with the way the table came out {as were the guests I had over to feast after the photo shoot!}. Cheers to my favorite tabletop this year!
