Right before you begin your Christmas merriment I wanted to share a fabulous Holiday cocktail which was actually given to me by the blogger “The Kentucky Gent” a male lifestyle blogger! I know I typically am all about sharing things that are pretty, pink, and girly on my site, but today I thought this could be a rare and unique opportunity to get a male’s point of view for a festive holiday drink. So ladies, get out the Bourbon because there’s nothing better than impressing our male guests, boyfriends, husbands, and even father-in-laws than serving up a well made cocktail!!
Holiday Old Fashioned by The Kentucky Gent
Ingredients:
- 2 sugar cubes
- Splash of water
- Handful of cranberries
- Dash of Angostura Bitters
- 2 oz. bourbon
- Orange twist
- Large ice cube
- Combine sugar cubes, cranberries, splash of water, and bitters in empty rocks glass.
Directions: Muddle until sugar is broken up and cranberries have been softened. Add 2 oz. of bourbon and ice, stir for 30 seconds to fully combine. Garnish with additional cranberries and orange twist.
