Easter Buffet & Menu

As a compliment to my Easter Table, I wanted to share what I whipped up for Easter lunch because the buffet display is equally as pretty as the table itself and clearly needed it’s own post! I am excited to share a closer peek today!

To decorate the buffet I draped a beautiful faux flower garland along the backside, and then placed a tall arrangement of pink Delphinium on one end to reflect a pop of pink in the mirror! For my serving pieces I chose complimentary serving dishes to the china I used on my dining table from Villeroy & Boch’s Mariefleur Collection, as well as mixed in some classic white pieces of my own. Paired back to lavender napkins by Sferra and glass bottled lemonades, the display was perfectly elegant.

On to what I made… 1. Deviled Eggs. I used this healthy recipe from Fannetasticfood.com because she uses greek yogurt rather than mayonnaise. Also, don’t forget to sprinkle paprika on the finished product… that’s what pulls the whole look together! 2. Tea Sandwiches. More specifically cucumber and cream cheese sandwiches with a hint of red onion {I used this recipe but left out the strawberries}. The key to displaying is to make a variety of white and wheat bread sandwiches, and don’t forget to trim off the crust! I displayed the sandwiches on a  3-tiered-cake stand {currently on sale at Pottery Barn!}.

Next up is 3. The Drinks. I served an array of pink and classic sparkling lemonades which I love finding at HomeGoods this time of year. If they don’t sell them at your local HomeGoods, they also sell a delicious option at Trader Joes, or you can also buy ones online on Amazon. I say go for something in a tall glass bottle. Then since I did have a tea party theme, I also made warm team in my Mariefleur teapot; elderflower to be specific, which is great tea for fighting colds and the flu!

And lastly, 4. Dessert and I must say this was the most impressive display of all. A tower of Laduree macarons. I had always seen these dreamy “towers” in the store windows in when I lived in NYC and dreamt that one day I could have one for a party of my own, and today dreams came true. It is a great treat for adults and kids, order from a local Laduree now {sadly not available in all cities}!!

Happy Easter!!
