Master Bathroom Makeover

Our master bathroom was one of the last rooms left to renovate / update since we moved into our house 4 years ago. I have always wanted to update it, but it was a serious project requiring new floors, a new vanity, new tub, new shower, new hardware, the works. So each year we chose a project to update in our house and it wasn’t until this year that it finally made the list.

Prior to getting started I created a Pinterest Board with my inspiration photos for the makeover. The goal was to find floor tiles that resembled a white marble, to find a beautiful free standing bath tub, and lastly, to find a large double sink vanity with plenty of counter space for me and my husband. After I had my inspiration photos, I set out to find all of the sources.

For flooring I found the most gorgeous San Giorgio Venato Polished Porcelain Tile from Floor & Decor. It looked so elegant with a bright white color and natural grey veining (just what I envisioned!!). And best of all, the price was unbeatable. They have a location in Miami, so it was easy to place the order for delivery. (FYI – they have stores nationwide for those of you looking).

Then I found my dream tub, the Henley Cast Iron Double Ended Pedestal Tub, from Signature Hardware. I loved the traditional look of the Glenwood Deckmount Tub Faucet in chrome so much, that I started browsing the sight for complimentary faucets, shower, and sinks, and found them there as well. For the shower I chose the Cooper Shower System with Rainfall Shower and Hand Shower in chrome and for the sinks, I chose the Victorian Widespread Bathroom Faucets in chrome.

I really struggled to find the exact vanity in the dimensions I needed, so I decided todo the custom route, working with a company in Miami called DT Woodcrafters. To finish off the wall unit, I hung 4 chrome scones from Pottery Barn

Of course my beautiful new bathroom would not be complete without elegant towels to match, so I hung my Pioneer Linens monogrammed towels (which I featured in this FH post last year).

The bathroom came out more beautiful than I could have ever imagined (although it still needs a few finishing touches like window treatments over the windows – but that’s how it goes – always more todo!!). Any who, I just couldn’t wait another day to share this makeover with you. I hope you love it as much as I do!! Sources for everything linked below!!
