A Successful Halloween Party for the Kiddos means kid-friendly spooky activities. So in preparing for a little gathering we are hosting for our kids, I came up with decorations and activities I had to share. Here’s a look at the cutest Kids Halloween Party thrown right on our back patio!
A Grand Entrance
It’s all about first impressions when guests walk in the door, so I created a fabulous welcome table (that the kids would later eat lunch at). Most notable are the amazing “B-O-O” Balloons created by PJB Creations. This balloon company is really so creative (they can make anything!) and these balloons are everything!! A big statement whether it’s a balloon garland, spider webs, or “Trick or Treat” Banners are a must for your party entry.
On my table I placed a row of black and white pumpkins from Grandin Road – who in my opinion have the best quality faux pumpkins. I have had these pumpkins 3 Halloweens now and they are still in perfect condition (great investments!). The black and white over orange makes the party chic over cheesy! For the paper goods, plates, cups, and cutlery I used a mix of Joanns, Target, Meri Meri and Homegoods. See some of the places I shopped below.
Spooky Treats
There is no shortage of Halloween treats on this adorable dessert table.Β Mini cauldrons of candy corn and pumpkins are probably my favorite detail. Also, I love these Meri Meri cupcake toppers. I tried to stick with all Halloween themed candy and colors throughout to create a cohesive look!
Pumpkin Activity
Carving pumpkins is a bit dangerous and difficult to manage for little ones but I still wanted something the kids could enjoy while being creative. So I decided pumpkin painting would be a better suited activity. I found the cutestΒ Halloween Light Up Birdhouse – Jack o Lanterns at Joann.com that come inΒ Halloween friendly shapes from bats to pumpkins.
I bought a whole bunch of paint brushes and acrylic paints for the kids to work with. Also I bought disposable tablecloths for us to throw over the table come painting time! Also if your kids want todo more crafting, I linked some other fun ones I bought but didn’t feature below.
Spooky Cookie decorating
My kids love helping me bake so I thought it would be too fun to make a spooky cookie decorating station for another activity. I baked sugar cookies and shaped them into pumpkins using a pumpkin cookie cutters. Then I bought vanilla icing, orange food coloring, and Halloween themed sprinkles. I linked the essentials here.
It is going to be such a cute party I can hardly wait!
Are you throwing a Halloween party and have tips to share? I would love to hear what you are planning todo at your parties in the comments below.
