I am so in love with Villeroy & Boch’s Mariefleur Collection for Easter. Floral and whimsical, I couldn’t think of a better pairing to celebrate Easter at home. From dinner and salad plates, to bowls and platters, to Easter bunnies and vases, they have everything to make my table look holiday-ready!
You know I usually keep away from too much color, but adding bright napkins was a subtle way to add a little something extra! I topped my Mariefleur plates with beautiful lavender napkins by Sferra, which are such a pretty pop of purple highlighting the detailing in the plates.
Then for glassware I chose my crystal Bernadotte Goblets because they are so versatile; they work to serve water, fruit punch, or even cocktails or wine, and for flatware I thought gold would be a pretty compliment so I chose this Marchesa for Lenox pattern.
Then I am all about about adding fresh details to my tablescape that send guests home with an extra memorable experience. Two touches I just love from today are 1. The small bowl of strawberry chia seed pudding awaiting guests at their seat {which I served in small La Classica Nuova Round bowls}; chia seed pudding is a healthy and fun alternative to yogurt or applesauce and the color matches perfectly! I highly recommend this idea for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Then 2. I wanted my lunch to have a classy tea party vibe so I served hot elderflower tea in my Mariefleur tea cups. Did you know elderflower is most known for helping fight off colds and the flu? It’s perfect to serve the time of year as the weather changes!
An Easter lunch menu staple is a display of home-made tea sandwiches, so today I chose to display mine on a 3-tiered-cake stand {currently on sale at Pottery Barn!}… that’s right, cake stands are no longer just for desserts! I will share the recipes to these sandwiches in my next post!
The backdrop to my Easter tablescape was a beautiful buffet displaying lunch. I will go into more detail on the menu in my next blog post but I did want to highlight my favorite decor aspect, which is the beautiful faux flower garland I placed along the backside of the buffet. I recently discovered these faux garlands and they are amazing to work with as table runners or draped along a console when entertaining for Spring!
For my flowers I decided to DIY my floral arrangements, and I find the easiest way todo so is to choose a range of vases that can work down the center of your table {I chose the Nek Mini Vase, the Numa Mini Vase to name a few} and place a different type of flower in each vase, while sticking with the same color scheme. By putting a bit of space between each vase, guests can peek through and speak to their “across” neighbor.
Of course being Easter, the table wouldn’t have been complete with out a few Easter bunnies hopping throughout. I just love the sweet Mariefleur bunnies {which also make for great take-home gifts once lunch is over!}.
Lastly, you probably noticed the incredible macaron dessert tower {ie. that enormous tower of treats in the corner!}. This tower comes from Laduree, my favorite French dessert cookies for any fancy tea party occasion. They sell these stunning towers in cities where they have stores, but for those of you not in those cities, have no fear because they can ship their cookies with the cutest packaging all over the country!!
I created a shop the post below with everything that I have featured today and look forward to sharing more details in my next post! Happy Easter!
