I am excited to collaborate with Lenox today sharing the cutest tea party I created with their Melli Mello collection, exclusively sold at Macy’s. I decided to trade in my usual coffee shop date with girl friends for a morning at home with tea and scones! The Melli Mello vintage-inspired floral set was perfectly elegant for the affair. My favorite pieces are the oversized teapot {with its beautiful butterfly and floral designs}, the two-tiered porcelain cake stand with gold detailed handle, and the dinner plates, because I am having a serious moment with stripes!
To throw my tea party, I made an organic green tea, served an array of classic Walker english biscuits and cookies with apricot jam, created a cheese plate with a block of parmesan and red grapes, and then a spring greens salad with a honey vinaigrette. Because the Melli Mello pattern itself is such a bright mix of stripes and florals, black and white, and endless colors, I was able to keep my flowers simple with a small arrangement of white roses and a few faux topiaries to compliment the English vibe. The end result was that the gals just loved it. We felt so sophisticated sipping our tea and eating dainty scones; we wondered why we don’t get dressed up and “have tea” more often. I am definitely making tea time a new tradition with my girlfriends!

This is absolutely beautiful, of course! Need to throw a tea party, ASAP 🙂
LOVE this tea set! The colors are amazing!
These photos are great! And so are these plates! I recently started trying to put more thought into plating food before serving it. I actually haven’t even done it yet, just gone to the thrift shop to go shopping for new pieces to spice things up a little bit. Loved seeing the table settings above as inspiration.
