A Night to Remember
For me and my husband’s joint 35th Birthday, I decided I wanted to throw us a romantic dinner party at our home. With a guest list of 70, this would become the biggest party I had ever thrown and I was up to the challenge.
My inspiration was “a night under the lights” where our guests would eat an elegant sit-down dinner under a bed of twinkle lights in our front lawn (followed by a big dance party in the back!). I had a crew hang gorgeous twinkling balls above over long wooden dinner tables, while the 4 “walls” would be our lit oak trees.
As for the tablescape, I wanted elegant but not too feminine. I created a mix of white floral arrangements and used glass and golds for my tableware. (I made this post shop-able at the bottom and you MUST check out the link for the chargers because they are plastic and you would never believe it!!). But a few details: the linen napkins are Kim Seybert, the glasses are Villeroy & Boch, and the vases are from Berkeley Florist Supply. Because I needed 70 place settings, I mixed and matched my gold flatware and white and gold plates.
The finishing touch for sure were the custom name tags which I created on Etsy (also linked below).
In case you are located in Miami and would like to know the vendors, I used Diamonette for furniture rental, thierryisambert.com for Catering, Matthew Rice for Photography, Gig Masters for Djs, Berkeley Florist for Flowers (I did the actual arranging!).
