Landmark Vineyards Sonoma Wine Tasting

One of my favorite trips this summer was when I headed to California for a weekend of wine, meetings, and more wine! While based in Napa, one of the days I headed to Sonoma to do a tasting at Landmark Vineyards. You may remember that I featured their wine this past Mother’s Day on the blog {here}. I was so excited to visit the beautiful property {I got a peek on their website} and to taste test a range of their famous Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays.

Landmark Vineyards has been producing wine for over 40 years from some of California’s finest wine growing regions, including Sonoma, Monterey and Santa Barbara Counties. After a walk through their sonoma vineyard, a tour of the Barrel room, and speaking with one of the tasting specialists, I learned all about the company’s dedication to quality.

Landmark Vineyards has two locations that are open to the public, one in Sonoma Valley and the other in the Russian River Valley. The Sonoma Valley location is Located at the foothills of the Mayacamas Mountains on the corner of Highway 12 and Adobe Canyon Road in Sonoma Valley {which I went to!}, where they offer daily tastings featuring Landmark’s signature wines as well as small-production, winery-only Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs. The second tasting room is located in the heart of the Russian River Valley on Westside Road. The one we went to in Sonoma Valley is a very relaxed tasting, which can be done indoor or outdoor. I highly recommend outdoors so you can enjoy this view of the fountain and Italian Cypress Trees!

Here’s a look at the wines we tasted…

  • 2017 Pinot Gris {link}
  • 2016 Hilliard Bruce Chardonnay {link}
  • 2015 Lorenzo Chardonnay {link}
  • 2016 Sangiacomo Chardonnay {link}
  • 2016 La Encantada Pinot Noir {link}
  • 2016 Escolle Road Pinot Noir {link}
  • 2015 Kosich Pinot Noir {link}

On the property they actually have rows of grapes, so my husband and I snuck over for a few photos (see below!). It felt magical! The Landmark Vineyards Sonoma Wine Tasting we visited is located at 101 Adobe Canyon Road, Kenwood, CA 95452. The hours are 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, daily. I recommend you call (707) 833-0053 to make a reservation although walk-ins are accepted!
